Scotland leads the way in harnessing renewable energy sources.  Limekiln Wind Farm, which Boralex received consent from Scottish Ministers to construct and operate in 2022 is now fully operational.  It consists of the original 19-turbine Limekiln Wind Farm alongside the 5-turbine Limekiln Wind Farm Extension, which operate together as one wind farm.

The net-zero targets set by Governments in Scotland, the UK and Europe will however require further investment in grid and other technologies to support the growth in onshore wind and as part of this, Boralex will bring proposals for the next phase of development on the site, a battery energy storage system, to the community of Reay on Thursday 17th April, between 1.00pm and 7.00pm at Reay Village Hall.

If  you are not able to make it along to the hall in person, all of the information can be found on this website in the ‘online consultation‘ page.
